
Minnesota Zoo
The Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley is one of the largest and most visited zoos in the country, covering 500 acres and home to more than 4,500 animals across five trails. The zoo draws more than 1.2 million visitors annually and hosts the popular Minnesota State Fair Discovery Barn exhibit, a summer concert series at the amphitheater, and seasonal events including Boo at the Zoo in October. From Eden Prairie, it's a straightforward 15-mile drive east on I-494 to Cedar Avenue South.
